Biodiversity and Neurobiology

Jeanne is a graduate research student at SDSU and a research associate at Boz Institute who aspires to contribute to the "Tree of Life". Although she is following her childhood dream of researching plants, Jeanne's long-term goal is to research neural computation and quantifiable methods to assess the severity of symptoms of movement disorders.  Jeanne utilizes her bioinformatics and computational skills to study biodiversity (phylogenetics) of local plant species and gene activity associated with neurodegeneration and ataxia in zebrafish.
