Kesten is a college sophomore and a teaching assistant (General Biology Lab), studying public policy and economics with a focus on environmental health. Kesten recently worked with Citizens’ Climate Lobby to help implement a federal carbon fee and dividend within the US Congress. She strives to amend and promote the laws assuring sustainable human living and much-needed symbiotic relationship with our environment. Through disciplined data collection and in-depth statistical analysis, Kesten seeks positive and negative correlative variables affecting current trends in human health care - ADHD diagnosis & treatment and antibiotics prescriptions to children and adolescents in the USA, and aging. She currently collaborates on developing a statistical model to improve students’ assessment in undergraduate biology laboratory science courses.
