Public Health Trends

About This Project

How often are children and teenagers in US misdiagnosed and/or overmedicated?  What are the immediate and long-term individual, family, public health, and socio-economic consequences?  We are particularly interested in two “modern” health care topics within very young - to- adolescent cohort (2 y.o. – 15 y.o.): diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, and causes and frequencies of antibiotics prescriptions.  As our preliminary analysis highlights interesting socioeconomic and geographical trends within the Country, our goal is to identify principal components influencing public health trends in these two areas.
